We are a NHS service whose aim is to provide FREE advice, information and support to local people thinking of stopping smoking.

The Stop Smoking Service was established in January 2001.It offers FREE help and advice to all smokers who live or work across South East Essex.

You are 4 times more likely to stop smoking using the NHS Stop Smoking Service. 

We know you can be successful with us..... almost 75% of smokers who attend stop smoking services are successful at 4 weeks.

Well over 20,000 smokers have successfully kicked the habit with the South Essex Stop Smoking Services in the last 8 years. As a Service we offer you friendly and practical information, support and advice.

The Service runs many Stop Smoking clinics around the area. Our local groups provide a friendly and supportive atmosphere where you can meet others who are also trying to quit.We aim  to provide services that do not  prejudge,analyse or expect you to do anything uncomfortable.Those trying to quit will be well placed to know how it feels and offer lots of motivational support!

Those of you who have tried to stop smoking before and gone back to smoking … do not despair. All the more reason for you to have another attempt, as the more times you have tried the more likely you are to quit for good.
